The rift in their relationship recently surfaced again as Marquez discussed the amount of child support paid while he was growing up. Now in an interview with TMZMarquez shares that he’ll pay for a one-on-one meeting with his dad so they can talk things through. He said,
“I’m definitely willing to sit with him so I can hear his point and get a little understanding. We’re both guys at the end of the day, we have to be able to agree and disagree, and that won’t be a problem.”
Marquez continued,
“In his view, he thinks I’m entitled when it’s not. It wasn’t about the money for me, it was about the relationship for me personally. If it was about money, I’d be willing to put it up at least to make the situation a little better if possible.”
If they had to sit down to talk things through, the Marquis said he wasn’t sure what to expect. However, he is willing to pay his father for his time if that is what it takes.
TMZ reports that a rep for 50 Cent said that if Marquez was serious about repairing his relationship, he would take things private and not through the media and social media.
50 also responded to Marquise in a recent video shared on his Instagram account.
As previously reported, earlier this week Marquez took to Instagram claiming that he would pay the $6,700 he received in child support for 24 hours from the time of 50. Lil Meech knocked on the stand as well.
