In our interview with Dr. Issam Saad Al-Ghamdi (CMO) and Executive Medical Director of Alinma Medical Services, we explored Alinma Medical Services’ legacy as it sheds light on its own projects and partners.

Can you tell us about the history of Alinma Medical Services?
We believe that the private healthcare sector plays an important role in supporting the healthcare field in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Alinma Medical Services Company Ltd. was established to provide comprehensive medical services to the community by owning and operating medical care projects according to the highest international standards, managed by qualified medical and administrative teams.
We work hard with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders in this field to provide the best medical services in accordance with international quality and safety standards, which have a positive role in serving the community and enhancing the level of medical services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As the Executive Medical Director of Alinma, can you tell us more about the organization’s vision?
Our vision and values in Hayat National Hospital Group motivate us to select highly qualified professional and academic cadres in the medical and administrative fields. This helps us to achieve our desired goals in accordance with our strategic plans to develop the quality of medical services based on the latest scientific foundations and to seek local and international accreditation for our hospitals and projects.
When it comes to the Health Sector Transformation Program, which was established as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, how does Alinma align with this vision?
After more than 20 years in the field of integrated healthcare, we believe that increasing investment in the healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region has become an urgent necessity. In order to continue to lead, we must always strive to align with the Health Sector Transformation Program as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, by developing the services we provide to the community.
We are always keen to earn the trust of our customers by following the latest global technologies in the health sector. This will motivate us to enhance investments, and discover the most effective ways to expand into new healthcare projects that can meet the growing needs of the health sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
What does the future of healthcare look like in the Saudi ecosystem and what are some exciting developments taking place in development as part of it?
The key word is digitization. It is the future of everything and we have to work according to strategies to advance the rapid development in this field and in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030. We have many new electronic applications in the field of medical care that will come into force very soon, and it will have a positive impact on the quality of service for the benefit of society.
