‘Almost the opposite’: political leaders don’t seem to ‘learn’ from their ‘mistakes’

Sky News presenter Cory Bernardi says political leaders don’t seem to be learning from their mistakes. “It’s almost the opposite in fact. When they realize they missed, instead of reversing course, they instead try to double down, and keep trying to get that canoe in that very creek without the paddle,” said Mr. Bernardi. “How do you explain the circumstances? Where do we find ourselves now? “I mean, outside of climbing into the fat-filled politics mogul, they don’t actually have that many accomplishments in their name.”
