Ron DeSantis appeared on the Tucker Carlson Show, and Carlson was looking for any opportunity to beat Biden and provided the perfect plate for DeSantis. But unlike Trump, DeSantis was smart enough not to take the bait.

From Mediat:
Carlson said:
“When a natural disaster like this hits a state, it’s common; I think it’s always the state that gets federal aid, given how politicized things are at the moment, are you confident that you’re going to get the federal support that Florida needs?”
Is Carlson referring to a time when Trump wanted to deny relief from the California wildfires because they “would never vote for me anyway,” shocking Trump staff?
Regardless, as said, DeSantis was too clever to seem too young:
“So I actually spoke with the president. DeSantis replied, and he said he wanted to be helpful, echoing the ideas he had shared at Hannity the night before.” So we filed for compensation for the next 60 days at 100%. This is great support. It’s a big storm.”
“So we have not received any response from him. I am actually cautiously optimistic that we do.” Overnight, President Biden agreed to a major disaster request referred to by DeSantis.
DeSantis ended on a better note:
Like I said, Tucker, we live in a politicized time, but when people are fighting for their lives, when their livelihoods are at stake, they’ve lost everything, if you can’t put politics aside for that, you won’t be able to. I will work with anyone who wants to help people in southwest Florida and throughout our state.
The need to have this conversation is a testament to Tucker Carlson, who “couldn’t put politics aside for it” and “wouldn’t be able to” with anything. Yes, Tucker to “T” and not Tee with problem setting.
Overnight, POTUS Declaring a major disaster in Florida, he ordered his team to mobilize additional federal resources to help Florida residents recover from Hurricane Ian, including through assistance with temporary housing and home repair. https://t.co/z4TZTLKRAG
